Whether it’s a small pebble on inside your shoe, the buzzing mosquito around your ear, the subtle yet un-miss-able discoloration of the sunset skies from tinge or wild orange and red toward the complete black sequined sky of stars, everything having an awareness of the tiniest bit of change and transformation around you is good for your personal psyche. We call it awareness.
What can you get from noticing or acknowledging the tiniest of things even the subtle ones to the one that usually goes without people paying attention? You get everything and you get enough compassion from it. Confucius once said that people who cannot triumph in the small things of life cannot triumph on the biggest parts. You need to make a move and you need to be sure that your move will make you appreciate these little things even the little and almost seemingly annoying pebble in your shoe – everything.
To tackle things further, you have to close your eyes and imagine that you have a tiny yet conspicuous pebble around your shoe. Awareness comes from sensory experience. In this way, you can feel it. The slight irritation that is growing from the palm of your feet, the prickly texture of the stone that tickles you a bit every time you make an effort to step on it and make your way to walk. From this awareness, you will grow and adapt a sense of sensibility that goes with an awareness of how your foot has been always there with you in every step.
In a bigger scale of things, the awareness of everything will help you appreciate life and will help you get from it or even grow a little bit from it. Each day people spend their lives focused on their routines and daily tasks that the slightest of change and even the tiny things go unseen. But if you will take time and observe how the world moves in slow motion you will be overwhelmed by the things you usually don’t care about and you will begin to realize your place on earth.
In this manner, you will live life better without the greed and the questions of where you actually stand in life. Because the hardest pill to swallow is humility that came from the awareness of single and irrelevant your existence against the fabric of the entire universe before you. With this awareness you begin to form your purpose, you begin to realize your meaning.
You might be skeptical of all the entire process but in no time you will realize just as how awesome and wonderful it is to live and become aware of everything. It will pave way for you to hold the dearest parts of your life way tighter and with more intensity of care and affection – all because you are aware. So take a moment for this day to just sit and feel and observe and become aware and you will find yourself in these tiny details you call as life.
